getting here

Find us!

Our guesthouse is located at the top of Szent György-mountain, between Lake Balaton and Tapolca. We are on the highest street of the southern part of the mountain.

If you’re arriving by car

There’s an opportunity for 2 cars to park right outside the house.

If you’re arriving from Budapest, and leaving Székesfehérvár, turn on the 8th road. You can go forward in a four-lane highway until you reach Veszprém. Go on the bypassing road of Veszprém and take the direction to Tapolca, in the 77th road. Go through Tapolca, and in the 2nd roundabout, go in the direction of Szigliget. The road takes you through the village of Hegymagas. If you see the sign of the end of the village, go on about 300 meters and take a turn to the Szent György-mountain (left). It’s hard to get it wrong, because there are lots of signs of the local wineries that are all pointing upwards to the mountain. The first junction will be near the Kiss Pincészet (Kiss Winery). Here, take a left to the direction of the Lengyel-kápolna (Polish-chapel). Leave the chapel and go on upwards: there will be a sign of Nyári Pincészet (Nyári Winery) that also shows you there. Follow that sign and you’ll get to the winery. Go on for about 400 meters more. You’ll see a little forest of acacia, then the white walls of our guest house, with the thatched roof and the green parking area in front of it.

If you’re arriving by train

Only for the lovers of hiking! The next instructions are including 40 minutes of walking!

Take off the train in Tapolca. In the bus stop near the train station, you can find long distance buses that take you to the foot of the mountain. Search for the bus that takes you to the bus stop called Hegymagas – templom (Hegymagas – church). You bus travel will be around 10 minutes. If you get off the bus, walk 300 meters forward, then go on the mountain (left).
